Why We Started Spark Dental Search
Dr. Kyle Sparkman, is a practicing orthodontist who has seen firsthand how difficult it can be for new graduates to find the right first position — and for practices to find candidates who are genuinely a good fit. He’s been on both sides of that table. His clinical perspective and professional network are at the core of everything we do.
Together, we built Spark Dental Search on a simple belief: recruiting works better when it’s personal. Not algorithmic. Not transactional. Personal.
The name “Spark” comes from our family name — Sparkman — and it reflects what we hope to ignite for every candidate and every practice we work with: a spark that starts a career, grows a team, and changes the trajectory of a practice.
We work with general dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other specialists across the country. We’re selective about who we work with — because we’d rather make a few great matches than a lot of mediocre ones.

Dr. Kyle Sparkman
Dr. Kyle Sparkman grew up in Pampa, Texas, where his father has been a general dentist for over 25 years. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1994, and then attended Texas A&M; University. Dr. Sparkman was a member of the Corps of Cadets and was elected by the student body to serve as a Senior Yell Leader.
After college, he attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he graduated in the top six percent of his dental class and was selected for membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honors society. Dr. Sparkman continued his education by completing a two-year residency at the nationally recognized University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Sparkman has been trained in the most up-to-date orthodontic care and advanced technology. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and is one of the youngest orthodontists in the nation with the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
On a personal note, Dr. Sparkman and his wife, Ashley, were married on December 18, 2004. They are proud parents of four sons, John Kyle, Reagan, Cannon, and Thatcher, and two daughters, Blythe and Gable.

With over two decades of success in medical sales and business development, Kimberly Sparkman Young brings a powerful combination of relationship-building expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and deep knowledge of the healthcare space to Spark Dental Search.
A Texas A&M graduate, Kimberly built her career developing high-value client relationships and growing revenue across the medical and healthcare industry — including building her own medical distributorship to $2.5 million in annual sales. She knows firsthand what it takes to earn trust in a clinical environment, navigate complex professional relationships, and deliver results.
As co-founder of Spark Dental Search alongside her brother, Dr. Kyle Sparkman, a practicing orthodontist, Kimberly combines her sales and business acumen with Dr. Sparkman's clinical expertise to create a recruiting experience that is genuinely different — personal, informed, and built on real relationships.
She is passionate about connecting talented dental professionals with the right opportunities and helping private practices build the teams they deserve. Based in San Antonio, she is proud to serve the Texas dental community and beyond. On a personal note, she is a proud mom of 3 teenage sons, Quinn, Parker and Ashton.
